I am told that wedding socials are a local event that other people don't necessarily celebrate so if you are not sure what a wedding social is, it is a public dance hosted by the bride and groom that is used as a fundraiser to raise money for a wedding. Tickets are sold for admission, drinks are sold, there are raffle prizes, etc and it is a great way to celebrate with the community and raise money for your wedding!
If you haven't encountered a "Currently" post before, it is just a fun post at the beginning of each month that serves as a way to share what is Currently going on in your life! You can link up and share your own "Currently" post by visiting the wonderful Farley over at Oh' Boy 4th Grade.
A wedding social is such an interesting idea. I had never heard of one until now. I wish that existed when my husband and I were planning our wedding. Good luck to you on the preparations! Your blog caught my eye with your fabulous name. Great ideas!

I've been told that socials are a "Manitoba thing" but I can't imagine why we are the only ones who do them lol. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such kind words!
DeleteI like your rulers on each side. The wedding social does sound like a lot of fun. Anywho, great blog

DeleteOkay, how no one else has commented on you living in a town of only 300 people yet, idk! WOW!! I can't imagine what that's like! Probably kind of neat though to generally know most of the people you see out and about!

Haha Erin I definitely like it! We have a bigger community about 20 minutes away so we have access to shopping opportunities and what not but I like our little town! :) Everyone is very close
DeleteI grew up in a small little community like yours! We always teased that everyone knew your name and if they didn't they were trying to figure out who you were or why you were there! It was fun!
ReplyDeleteIn addition I love Whole Brain Teaching so I had to check your blog out and see what it was all about!
